    Markham Guild of Village Crafts Land Acknowledgment:

    We acknowledge with respect the traditional territories of Indigenous peoples and their commitment to stewardship of the land. We acknowledge the Haudenosaunee, Huron-Wendat, Anishinaabeg, Seneca, Chippewa, and the Mississaugas of the Credit peoples. Their histories, languages, cultures, and crafts continue to enrich our shared community today and into the future. We are grateful to craft upon this land. We remind ourselves to craft mindfully, using sustainable and local materials when possible. May we all live with respect on this land, and live in peace and friendship with all its diverse peoples.
